Individual support begins with an Initial Consultation

This €120 appointment helps clarify your priorities and practical next steps. Schools and education settings should send an enquiry first.

You receive a brief written Initial Consultation Summary and Plan with practical recommendations and suggested next steps.

What may happen next

The pathway is matched to what would be useful

After your consultation, we agree whether assessment, practical support or another service would help.

What the Initial Consultation includes

The Initial Consultation includes review of your intake information, a 60-minute online appointment and a brief written summary and plan. It helps decide whether practical support, assessment, setting consultation, signposting or another next step is most appropriate. Read about the Initial Consultation.

Assessment, when it adds useful information

Assessment explores routines, movement, sensory needs and environments in more detail when this would strengthen your plan. View assessment options.

Goal-Focused OT Support

Work on agreed everyday goals through coaching, activities, environmental changes and personalised resources. Read about Goal-Focused Support.

Other next steps may include consultation with a school or organisation, written recommendations, review, onward referral or no further occupational therapy input at present.

  • Practical and evidence-informed
  • Strengths-based and neuroaffirming

Where should I start?

Individuals start with an Initial Consultation. Schools and education settings start with an enquiry. You do not need to choose an assessment or support programme first.

Do I need a diagnosis or referral?

No. Families, adults, schools and education settings may contact Belong OT directly. A diagnosis is not required. Support focuses on strengths, everyday needs, participation and practical next steps.

Are appointments online or in person?

The Initial Consultation is completed online as standard. Some assessment, goal-focused support or setting consultation may take place in person where appropriate. Suitability and location are discussed before an in-person appointment is arranged.
